Can I change my max bid?

Don’t want to miss out on your dream lot? You can increase your max bid by going to ‘My Saleroom’ and selecting your "Current Bids" in live or timed auctions. Keep in mind, there are restrictions on lowering your max bid. This is because placing a max bid is a binding commitment to purchase the item if you're the highest bidder and the reserve is met.

In a live auction

You cannot reduce or remove your max bid before the auction starts. If you change your mind, you’ll need to wait until the live auction begins and then adjust your bid in the live bidding applet.

In a timed auction

You are allowed to reduce your max bid, but only down to the current bid price.
