To participate, you will need to be registered and approved by the auctioneer.
Once, the auctioneer has approved your registration you'll then be able to begin bidding. In order to bid;
1. Find the lot you want to bid on.
2. Type in your maximum bid into the bidding box and click 'Place Bid'.
3. Review the bid details and click 'confirm' on the pop up that appears.
4. The bidding box will update to show if you are leading, or outbid.
Our system will bid intelligently for you, only bidding enough for you to meet the reserve or stay in the lead, up to your maximum. If someone outbids you, you'll receive an email to notify you and give you a chance to increase your bid.
To prevent sniping, if a bid is placed near the closing time, the lot time will extend.
The standard for this extension is any bid placed within the last 10 minutes of the defined time period will extend the time back up to 10 minutes, eg:
If there are 8 minutes remaining on the time and a bid is placed, the time will increase by 2 minutes to reset to 10 minutes
If there are 2 minutes remaining on the time and a bid is placed, the time will increase by 8 minutes to reset to 10 minutes
Auctioneers may choose to adjust this time period to be longer or shorter.
Don’t forget, just like when you’re in an auction room, bidding online is a contractual commitment to buy and there is no option to retract your bid.
